The aim of work is assess the state and prospects of increasing energy efficiency and energy saving in the areas of economic activity of Ukraine in 2010-2011, macroeconomic, inter-sectoral and regional structural factors of implementation of the energy efficiency potential, carrying out a comparative analysis of the state of energy efficiency of the Ukrainian economy in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, analysis of the development and use of alternative fuels and renewable energy sources, presentation of global experience in promoting energy efficiency, principles for good governance recommendations for improvement mechanism for implementing energy efficiency policy.
